Barangay Sunog has a total area of 3798 hectares where in approximately 10 hectares are used for residential. It is at a distance of 27 kilometers from the heart of the municipality.
Barangay Sunog is situated approximately 8 kilometers from the Trans Central Highway and 43 kilometer from Cebu City proper. From Barangay Sunog, it has a distance of 27 kilometers going to Balamban proper. It can be reached from Cebu City through V-Hire, hired motorcycle or private car for about an hour or more. Of the whole province of Cebu, It has the highest elevation,which is elevated at 1,097 meters above sea level. It has a geographical coordinates of N 10 degrees 26’ 20”, E 123 degrees 47’ 40”. Barangay Sunog is known for its cold climate and historical landmark. Mt. Manunggal, the highest peak in Cebu, is the crash site of the late Philippine President, Ramon Magsaysay.
