Balamban will implement a stricter boarder control for pig products from Carcar and export of live hogs not accredited by the Bureau of Animal Industry
Gov. Gwen Garcia has temporarily banned the entry of live hogs, sows, piglets, boar semen, porj and pork -related products from Carcar City into the rest of Cebu Province after the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus was detected from samples of slaughtered pigs in Carcar City.
Gov. Gwen also prohibits the entry of pig products from Negros Island
In a separate order, export and movement of live hogs from farms not accredited by BAI are regulated
